ARPM 2011: Wrap Up

Over 400 delegates, 30 exhibitors and 18 speakers converged on the Hilton Hotel Sydney, for the launch of Austalia’s largest ever Property Management conference, ARPM 2011.

With the catch line ‘The smart get smarter’, this truly was a showcase of speakers that expanded the mind, and crammed it full of fantastic ideas from the top people in the industry. Fiona Blayney, Australia’s leading Property Management coach and trainer led a barrage of incredible speakers with her top 20 tips to staying at the cutting edge of Property Management. Jonathan Handford, Managing Director of Newman Estate Agents in the UK, was flown in to give us insight into rent roll growth and managing a high performance team. The procession of talent continued covering all aspects of a modern day Property Management business from social media, marketing and communication to a full insight into the mind of the investor. Nigel Bowden and Katie Knight talked talked about managing through a crisis as they handled first hand the catastrophes of the Christchurch earthquakes and Queensland floods. We were given insight into how the best operate with ‘A day in the life of Alex Scott, Australia’s ‘Property Manager of the year’ and Vasili Hadzellis’ interview on BDM success. The event was perfectly rounded off with the inspirational Cas & Jonesy, the 2 Australian adventurers that conquered the epic kayak paddle, unaided, from Australia to New Zealand.
